ITS is hiring several Maximo positions of various degrees of technical expertise. These positions will be part of the ITS Maximo team managing all facets of client IBM Maximo systems including requirements definition, system development, management, administration and troubleshooting for our DoD customers. Some of these positions will be located at client sites so willingness to relocate is a factor.
The Maximo Consultant/Administrator position will work as a member of our ITS Maximo Support team responsible for the technical support of the client’s enterprise maintenance management system and interfaces with back-end support from our entire technical and management team.
These positions have primary responsibility of supporting Maximo and its user community including coordination with internal information technology (IT) functions that support the program (e.g. security, database, etc.); coordinating software enhancements; performing system troubleshooting and testing; developing requirements documents for system enhancements; supporting system configuration changes; and providing hands-on, day-to-day support for Maximo applications.
The position will also provide support, as needed, for enhancements, reporting (BIRT), mobile applications and others associated with a large and complex Maximo system. Some of these positions will serve as the primary technical support for the DoD customer related to Maximo System Administration and work with the support and guidance of the Maximo System Program Manager and ITS’s Technical Team. The position will also assist with Maximo deployments and on-going development and end-user support.
> Provide hands-on, day-to-day client support and enhancements to the Maximo applications.
> Serve as primary contact Maximo Administration issues.
> Collaborate with management to design workflows, reports and any system enhancements.
> Perform Maximo screen customizations as needed.
> Attendance at client meetings.
> Ability to communicate effectively with management and others.
> Facilitate, participate and document user requirements during definition.
> Strategic thinking to assist in proposing least cost solution and estimating timelines.
> Preplanning of upgrade and patch activities.
> Define, design, develop, test, document and maintain interfaces.
> Perform integration testing.
> Business process improvement recommendations.
> Maintain and create data templates for loading.
> Develop and support data loads utilizing the Maximo Integration Framework.
> Support of system upgrades in the Maximo product as well as add-ons.
> Troubleshoot and Resolve application, interface, workflow, reporting and data integrity issues.
> Continuously collaborate with internal Maximo Development teams.
> Provide other system support or perform other duties as may be required.
> United States Citizenship required

> The ability to pass a background check with a financial check.
> Some positions require at least Secret clearance (depending on client)
> Travel is expected to be minimal
> 5+ years Maximo administration experience including installation and upgrade of Maximo Asset Management.
> Experience must include experience with versions 7.5 or higher.
> Experience with Maximo Autoscripting
> 2+ years of implementation and patch upgrade experience with Maximo 7.x highly preferred
> 5+ years resolving problems independently or working closely with team members to drive solutions
> Previous DoD or other government experience
> Understanding of Change/Configuration Control techniques
> Direct hands-on experience with BIRT reports
> Experience with Oracle/MS SQL
> Experience with complex systems deployment
> Fundamental database design and administration, including writing and debugging SQL queries
> Knowledge of basic programming fundamentals
> Strong communication and verbal skills
