Issues Upgrading IBM Maximo from 7.1

Currently, there are issues when trying to upgrade from IBM Maximo Version 7.1. Specifically, upgrading Maximo 7.1 and any 7.1 fix packs, to Maximo 7.5 and any 7.5 fix packs, when you launch UpgradeUI and click on either the Validation or Upgrade tab. You will receive the message, BMXAA8279I – Upgrade and upgrade validation are not supported for version V71110-16.

IBM Releases Updated V7 Report Comparison Guide

The Open Reporting Architecture is designed to enable you to use your reporting tool of choice – whether it is the embedded reporting tool, or a different reporting tool enabled thru report integration. IBM releases 7.5.0.4 fix pack for Maximo

Potential security vulnerability with IBM WebSphere

Protect your Maximo Instance. There is a potential security vulnerability with IBM WebSphere Application Server. If you have installed a Websphere Application Server fix for APAR PM44303 or a fix pack containing PM44303, there is the potential for an authenticated user to gain access to unauthorized resources.

ALERT to Maximo Users – WebSphere Password to plugin-key Expires today!

IBM announces end of support for Maximo 6.2x

Effective September 30, 2013, IBM will no longer provide fixes, patches, and telephone support for Maximo 6.2x or for the same version components or add-ons. It is important that you plan for migrating your system to a newer version of Maximo. See the IBM Announcement for details.
